Quick Wrap: Nifty Auto Index gains 4.14%, NIFTY jumps 2.40%

Nifty Auto index closed up 4.14% at 27601.75 today. The index has gained 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Uno Minda Ltd added 11.54%, Ashok Leyland Ltd gained 10.50% and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd jumped 5.59%. The Nifty Auto index has soared 4.00% over last one year compared to the 4.15% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index gained 3.99% and Nifty Realty index added 3.52% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 2.40% to close at 24536.6 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 2.60% to close at 79310.01 today.
