Currency Buzz: Dollar index tests one-month low, Speeches from US Fed members in focus

05-Nov-2026 | 15:58
The US dollar index eased near 101 mark, testing one-month low today and currently lingers around 101.40, almost unchanged on the day. Dollar followed a drop in the US treasury yields which slumped on Wednesday following the Democratic party?s overwhelming win in the US midterm elections. Markets eyed the political shift that led to a massive collapse in crude oil prices as Democrats won the House of Representatives and the Senate, triggering hopes of a quick conclusion to the ongoing US-Iran war. Dollar index appears choppy ahead of a number of critical updates. Market will be eying speeches from couple of US Fed members later on today and will be keenly eying the US nonfarm payrolls tomorrow.
