HDFC Bank Ltd spurts 2.3%, gains for five straight sessions

HDFC Bank Ltd rose for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 753.65, up 2.3% on the day as on 12:39 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 1.97% on the day, quoting at 24432.9. The Sensex is at 78938.03, up 2.12%. HDFC Bank Ltd has added around 5.93% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which HDFC Bank Ltd is a constituent, has added around 4.08% in last one month and is currently quoting at 55913.6, up 2.62% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 353.49 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 299.35 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 755.7, up 2.39% on the day. HDFC Bank Ltd is down 23.46% in last one year as compared to a 4.22% fall in NIFTY and a 0.31% fall in the Nifty Bank index.

The PE of the stock is 14.86 based on TTM earnings ending September 26.
