Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index rises 5.15%

Nifty Media index closed up 5.15% at 1710.65 today. The index is up 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Saregama India Ltd gained 13.27%, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd jumped 10.05% and Prime Focus Ltd added 5.53%. The Nifty Media index is up 12.00% over last one year compared to the 6.40% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index added 2.85% and Nifty Metal index increased 2.80% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.63% to close at 23960.6 while the SENSEX added 0.50% to close at 77301.4 today.
