Economic Buzz: UK business activity improves in October

The United Kingdom's private sector activity advanced in October, with the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) Composite Output Index rising from 52 in September to 52.9, S&P Global revealed in its final report on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Services PMI Business Activity Index also rose in the reported month, advancing from 52.1 in the previous month to 52.8 in October, but coming in below the figure from the preliminary report. Business optimism also improved from September, reaching the highest level since February.
