ITC Ltd spurts 2.19%, up for fifth straight session

ITC Ltd gained for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 279.9, up 2.19% on the day as on 12:39 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.01% on the day, quoting at 23813.75. The Sensex is at 76963.8, up 0.06%. ITC Ltd has gained around 4.09% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty FMCG index of which ITC Ltd is a constituent, has gained around 3.25% in last one month and is currently quoting at 45580, up 0.98% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 321.74 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 236.59 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 280.6, up 2.32% on the day. ITC Ltd is down 31.31% in last one year as compared to a 6.65% slide in NIFTY and a 17.38% slide in the Nifty FMCG index.

The PE of the stock is 17.94 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
