HDFC Bank Ltd spurts 2.88%, gains for third straight session

HDFC Bank Ltd is up for a third straight session in a row. The stock is quoting at Rs 720.15, up 2.88% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 1.01% on the day, quoting at 23678.05. The Sensex is at 76563.49, up 1.15%. HDFC Bank Ltd has risen around 2.18% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which HDFC Bank Ltd is a constituent, has risen around 1.48% in last one month and is currently quoting at 55002.2, up 0.95% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 228.01 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 300.63 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 723.5, up 3.05% on the day. HDFC Bank Ltd is down 26.91% in last one year as compared to a 7.5% drop in NIFTY and a 3.98% drop in the Nifty Bank index.

The PE of the stock is 14.12 based on TTM earnings ending September 26.
