Quick Wrap: Nifty Commodities Index gains 4.01%, NIFTY jumps 1.68%

Nifty Commodities index closed up 4.01% at 9325.65 today. The index has gained 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Reliance Industries Ltd added 11.60%, Tata Steel Ltd gained 5.83% and JSW Steel Ltd rose 5.13%. The Nifty Commodities index has fallen 1.00% over last one year compared to the 8.87% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Energy index gained 3.92% and Nifty Infrastructure index added 3.70% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 1.68% to close at 23440.8 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 1.66% to close at 75692.78 today.
