GAIL (India) Ltd gains for third straight session

GAIL (India) Ltd gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 176.61, up 5.18% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 1.06% on the day, quoting at 23297. The Sensex is at 75277.24, up 1.1%. GAIL (India) Ltd has gained around 5.44% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which GAIL (India) Ltd is a constituent, has gained around 1.48% in last one month and is currently quoting at 34957.9, up 3.13% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 93.21 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 75.9 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 177.1, up 4.78% on the day. GAIL (India) Ltd is down 3.85% in last one year as compared to a 9.57% slide in NIFTY and a 1.07% slide in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 11.78 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
