Commodities Buzz: Gold net speculative long positions tank to three-month low

Precious metals speculators saw yet another sharp slide in their net long position in the Gold futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totalled a net position of 186451 contracts in the data reported through October 27, 2026, slipping 13414 contracts from the previous week and testing three-month low.
