Economic Buzz: China's manufacturing activity down in October

China's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) landed at 49.3 in October, going down from September's 50 and moving into contraction territory, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said.
The official non-manufacturing PMI also shrank, declining from 50.5 seen in the previous month to 49.7 in October.
