Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index rises 2.32%

Nifty IT index closed up 2.32% at 32606.9 today. The index is up 18.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Wipro Ltd gained 4.32%, Coforge Ltd added 4.23% and LTM Ltd jumped 3.39%. The Nifty IT index is down 9.00% over last one year compared to the 10.92% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index added 1.55% and Nifty Media index is down 1.46% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.51% to close at 23053.1 while the SENSEX added 0.42% to close at 74459.53 today.
