30-Oct-2026 | 14:55
India?s economic growth is projected to moderate to 7.35% in the July-September quarter from a 7.8% expansion recorded in the previous three-month period, dragged by moderation in business activities, as per the monthly economic report released by India?s Finance ministry. This is based on the Department of Economic Affairs? ?nowcasting? model, which was introduced in the Economic Survey 2025-26. It noted that India's economy is well-positioned to sustain its growth through FY27 despite headwinds from geopolitical tensions, energy volatility, and global financial tightening. The growth is buoyed by robust domestic demand, strong industrial and services activity, and structural reforms.
