NHPC Ltd spurts 0.49%, up for five straight sessions

NHPC Ltd rose for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 77.58, up 0.49% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.72% on the day, quoting at 23102.8. The Sensex is at 74685.25, up 0.72%. NHPC Ltd has added around 8.13% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which NHPC Ltd is a constituent, has added around 3.81% in last one month and is currently quoting at 35299, down 0.84% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 62.73 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 98.24 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 77.53, up 0.23% on the day. NHPC Ltd is down 8.56% in last one year as compared to a 10.18% fall in NIFTY and a 3.51% fall in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 21.17 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
