Economic Buzz: Japan's retail sales drop 0.7% in September

Retail trade in Japan dropped by 0.7% in September compared to the previous month, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry published said on Friday.

The figure increased by 2.3% on an annual basis. Commercial sales rose by 0.2% month-on-month, while the seasonally adjusted value of sales in the wholesale industry remained unchanged compared to the previous month.
