During the quarter, Trent opened its 1,000th Zudio store. It added 10 Westside and 19 Zudio stores, while consolidating two Zudio stores. As of 30 September 2026, its portfolio comprised 311 Westside stores, 999 Zudio stores, including seven in the UAE, and 32 stores across other lifestyle concepts. The company operated across 339 cities, including three in the UAE, with a retail footprint exceeding 18.5 million square feet.
Emerging categories, including beauty and personal care, innerwear and footwear, contributed over 21% of revenue. The company said Westside's online business and its offering on the Tata Neu platform continued to gain traction and grow profitably.
Trent said its merchandise sourcing, pricing, distribution and inventory management approach supported stable gross margin profiles across Westside and Zudio. It added that full-year results provide a more representative picture of business performance.
Trent's food and grocery business, Star, recorded revenue growth of over 20% during the quarter despite a competitive market. Sales continued to be driven by own brands, supporting store-level economics. The company added one store during the quarter, taking its total Star network to 87 stores across 13 cities.
Trent chairman Noel N Tata said the company's brands recorded strong consumer traction despite inflationary pressures. He highlighted the company's expansion into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets and said the positive consumer response supported further expansion into smaller markets.
He noted that own brands and products contributed over 74% of Star's revenue, reinforcing confidence in its food and grocery business. Trent plans to continue investing in expanding its retail footprint and strengthening its presence across lifestyle and food categories. Tata also expressed confidence in the company's long-term growth prospects as he concluded his tenure as chairman.
