Texmaco Rail secures additional Rs 1,020-wagon order from Railways

Texmaco Rail & Engineering has received an additional order for the manufacture and supply of 1,020 BOXNS wagons from the Ministry of Railways under the option clause.

With this, the total order quantity has increased to 4,420 wagons at the same price and with the same terms and conditions. The total amended contract value stands at Rs 1,786.74 crore, including taxes. The additional quantity is to be executed within 162 days beyond the re-fixed delivery period, up to 11 June 2027.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering is an engineering and infrastructure company that is primarily engaged in manufacturing railway wagons, coaches, and locomotives, as well as providing related services. On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit rose 66.86% to Rs 50.04 crore while net sales declined 16.90% to Rs 756.68 crore in Q1 June 2026 over Q1 June 2025.

Shares of Texmaco Rail & Engineering rose 3.22% to close at Rs 104.10 on the BSE.
