Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index gains 3.66%

Nifty Media index closed up 3.66% at 1615.05 today. The index has gained 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Sun TV Network Ltd added 10.92%, Prime Focus Ltd jumped 9.04% and MPS Ltd shed 4.95%. The Nifty Media index has soared 5.00% over last one year compared to the 12.39% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index gained 1.94% and Nifty Pharma index increased 1.91% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.02% to close at 22749.75 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.01% to close at 73598.67 today.
