Nifty October futures trade at a premium

Infosys, HDFC bank and Reliance Inds were top traded contracts.

The Nifty October 2026 futures closed at 22,774.80, a premium of 21.60 points compared with the Nifty's closing at 22,753.20 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index advanced 153.20 points or 0.68% to 22,753.20.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 1.73% to 17.15.

Infosys, HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.

October 2026 F&O contracts will expire on 27 October 2026.
