Commodities Buzz: Gold net speculative longs tumble to two and half month low

Precious metals speculators saw a sharp slide in their net long position in the Gold futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totalled a net position of 199865 contracts in the data reported through October 20, 2026, falling by 8014 contracts from the previous week and sliding at two and half month low.
