Copper turns higher after yesterday's losses

23-Oct-2026 | 17:47
COMEX Copper futures are trying to recover after tumbling to six-week low in last session. However, overall undertone is cautious amid choppy to weak equities. In Asia, China?s Shanghai Composite Index added 0.89%. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index rose 0.69%. Japan?s Nikkei 225 Index fell 0.34%. European stocks were slippery as well. German DAX lost around 1%. The US stocks stayed weak on Thursday as renewed concerns around spending by artificial intelligence companies weighed on tech counters. This could cap advances in Copper. The red metal is currently trading at $6.46 per pound, up 0.93% on the day but is down around 1.80% for the week. MCX Copper futures are trading at Rs 1374.35 per kg, up 0.85% on the day as lows around Rs 1362 per kg capped downside in early trades.
