Nifty October futures trade at premium

HDFC Bank, Reliance and Axis Bank were top traded contracts.

The Nifty 27 October 2026 futures closed at 22,723.10, a premium of 35.45 points compared with the Nifty's closing at 22,687.65 in the cash market.

The Nifty 50 index lost 123.70 points or 0.54% to 22,687.65.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 0.90% to 15.82.

HDFC Bank, Reliance and Axis Bank were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.

The October 2026 F&O contracts will expire on 27 October 2026.
