Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index rises 2.88%

Nifty IT index closed up 2.88% at 32422.5 today. The index is up 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Wipro Ltd gained 3.86%, Infosys Ltd jumped 3.30% and HCL Technologies Ltd added 3.21%. The Nifty IT index is down 8.00% over last one year compared to the 11.82% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty MNC index is down 2.10% and Nifty Metal index has slid 1.71% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.34% to close at 22811.35 while the SENSEX is down 0.19% to close at 73709.69 today.
