SRF board approves capex of Rs 600 cr for new manufacturing unit

At meeting held on 21 October 2026

The board of SRF at its meeting held on 21 October 2026 has approved a project for setting up of a manufacturing facility for the production of Aluminium foil for battery applications to capture growing opportunities in the Energy Storage and EV sectors in India by SRF Altech, a wholly owned subsidiary (WoS) of the Company.

The proposed facility will be established at the existing site of the WoS at Jetapur in the state of Madhya Pradesh with an estimated project cost of approximately Rs. 600 crore, to be implemented in two phases of Rs. 300 crore each.
