Kross zooms after Q2 PAT more than doubles to Rs 20 cr
Profit before tax (PBT) surged 127.90% YoY to Rs 26.96 crore in Q2 FY27.
EBITDA more than doubled, rising 107.4% year-on-year to Rs 30.60 crore from Rs 14.75 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded by 175 basis points to 13% from 11.3% in the year-ago quarter.
The company attributed its performance to broad-based growth across segments, supported by strong demand in medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCVs) and trailers, a continued recovery in tractor and agricultural segments, and capacity expansion initiatives. Operational efficiencies and backward integration also helped support profitability amid input cost pressures.
On the operational front, Kross said commercial production had commenced at its axle beam extrusion plant, which was operating at approximately 60-65% utilisation. Supplies of precision hydraulic tipping jacks are progressing as planned, with further volume scale-up expected in the second half of FY27. Production trials at its seamless tube facility are targeted for February-March 2027.
Sudhir Rai ? chairman & managing director said, ?Capacity expansion investments are beginning to support growth, with utilisation expected to improve in the coming quarters. Supported by healthy order books, sustained demand in the trailer and tractor segments, and multiple capacity expansion initiatives nearing completion, Kross is well positioned to deliver healthy growth in FY27.
Through continued emphasis on innovation, operational excellence, and strategic capacity investments, we are capitalising on the recovery in key segments while strengthening our competitive position. We remain confident that these initiatives, combined with strong execution visibility and contributions from new products, will drive sustainable revenue growth, improved profitability, and long-term value creation for our shareholders.?
