13-Oct-2026 | 14:48
Gold rebounded above $4,200 an ounce in Asian trading on Tuesday but remained confined to a narrow range amid a stronger US dollar and uncertainty over the Federal Reserve?s policy outlook. International bullion futures have fluctuated between $4,091 and $4,259 so far in October, keeping the trading range below $200 and signalling a potential breakout ahead. The dollar index climbed to an 18-month high near 102 as investors awaited US CPI on Wednesday and PPI on Thursday, while escalating Middle East tensions continued to underpin safe-haven demand. On MCX, December gold futures traded largely flat below ₹1,50,000 per 10 grams as markets awaited fresh directional cues.
