Biocon Ltd slips for fifth straight session

Biocon Ltd dropped for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 346.3, down 1.06% on the day as on 13:19 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 1.19% on the day, quoting at 22497.45. The Sensex is at 72413.6, up 1.15%.Biocon Ltd has lost around 11.58% in last one month.Meanwhile, Nifty Pharma index of which Biocon Ltd is a constituent, has eased around 2.39% in last one month and is currently quoting at 25823.25, up 0.38% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 9.66 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 31.2 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark October futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 348.55, down 0.19% on the day. Biocon Ltd tumbled 2.02% in last one year as compared to a 11.03% slide in NIFTY and a 16.66% spurt in the Nifty Pharma index.

The PE of the stock is 188.65 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
