BSE SME Acme India Industries takes the fast track to listing gains

Acme India Industries traded at Rs 232.05 on the BSE, representing a 18.39% premium over its issue price of Rs 196.
The scrip was listed at Rs 221, a premium of 12.76% to the IPO price. The stock is currently frozen at its upper limit of 5% over its listing price.

The counter hit a high of Rs 232.05 and a low of Rs 221. About 29.02 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE.

Acme India Industries' IPO was subscribed 115.51 times. The IPO opened for subscription on 30 September 2026 and will close on 6 October 2026. The price band was fixed at Rs 186 to Rs 196 per share.

The IPO comprises a fresh issue of 54.07 lakh shares aggregating to Rs 105.98 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 8.02 lakh shares worth Rs 15.71 crore.

Acme India Industries raised Rs 34.61 crore from 13 anchor investors through the allotment of 17.66 lakh shares at Rs 196 per share on 29 September 2026.

The promoter and promoter group holding declined to 64.46% after the IPO from 88.19% before the issue.

The company plans to utilise Rs 38 crore of the net IPO proceeds towards working capital requirements. Another Rs 41 crore will be used for repayment or pre-payment of borrowings, while Rs 6.27 crore is earmarked for capital expenditure towards the purchase of additional plant and machinery. The balance is proposed to be used for general corporate purposes.

Incorporated in December 2021, Acme India Industries operates in the Indian railway rolling stock sector, focusing on the design, manufacture, supply, installation and warranty maintenance of railway coach interiors and components. It provides turnkey furnishing solutions for new coaches, refurbishment, upgradation and conversion of old coaches, and modernisation of toilet facilities.

Its product portfolio includes Braille signage, FRP products, sanitary ware, epoxy flooring, decorative glass FRP, toilet and compartment doors, seats and berths, fire barrier coatings and hygiene-related products. Since 2017, the company has completed 28 turnkey furnishing projects covering 1,610 coaches, refurbished and upgraded 1,888 coaches and completed 10,948 toilet upgrades as of 30 June 2026.

The company operates across 16 railway zones and has three production units and two mid-life rehabilitation units. Its manufacturing facility in Sonipat, Haryana, covers more than 92,000 square feet and includes laboratory and testing facilities. It also has a design and new product development team focused on product engineering, simulation, prototyping and testing.

Acme India Industries operates primarily through a tender-based business model, with tender activities undertaken through the Indian Railways e-Procurement System (IREPS). It has executed projects across LHB coaches, Vande Bharat and other self-propelled units. As of 30 June 2026, the company had 43 employees.

The company's total income increased 25.74% to Rs 267.89 crore in FY2026 from Rs 213.45 crore in FY2025, while profit after tax rose 47.99% to Rs 24.36 crore from Rs 16.46 crore. EBITDA increased 38.46% to Rs 39.82 crore from Rs 28.76 crore during the same period. The company reported net worth of Rs 103.55 crore and total borrowings of Rs 85.18 crore as of 31 March 2026.
