Commodities Buzz: EIA weekly Natural Gas inventories up 85 BCF

The working gas in underground storage in the US stood at 3,500 billion cubic feet as of Friday, October 2, 2026, according to estimates released by the US Energy Information Administration. The agency marks the net weekly increase at 85 Bcf from the prior week's level of 3,415 Bcf. The latest stocks are 130 Bcf below the level recorded a year earlier and are 68 Bcf above the five-year average of 3,432 Bcf. Total working gas remains inside the five-year historical range.
