Nifty October futures trade at premium

India VIX spurts 10.38% to 15.33.

The Nifty 27 October 2026 futures closed at 22,275, a premium of 43.2 points compared with the Nifty's closing at 22,231.80 in the cash market.

The Nifty 50 index lost 371.25 points or 1.64% to 22,231.80.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 10.38% to 15.33.

HDFC Bank, Infosys and ITC were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.

The October 2026 F&O contracts will expire on 27 October 2026.
