Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index registers a drop of 3.55%, NIFTY Crashes 1.64%

Nifty Metal index closed down 3.55% at 11870.05 today. The index has lost 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Enterprises Ltd fell 5.36%, Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd shed 4.96% and Jindal Steel Ltd slipped 4.81%. The Nifty Metal index has increased 17.00% over last one year compared to the 11.24% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has slid 3.16% and Nifty Energy index has dropped 2.82% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 1.64% to close at 22231.8 while the SENSEX has declined 1.44% to close at 71593.24 today.
