Commodities Buzz: EIA projects natural gas prices to fall 9% in 2027

EIA has forecast the Henry Hub spot price for natural gas to average $3.16 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) in 2027, a 9% decrease from 2026. The decrease reflects ongoing higher-than-average natural gas inventories in it's forecast, driven by production increases that offset rising liquefied natural gas exports.
