Bharti Airtel ends higher after raising postpaid rentals by Rs 50

Bharti Airtel jumped 1.33% to settle at Rs 1,833 after the telecom major announced new postpaid plans with Rs 50 increase in monthly rentals, while offering free international roaming for one overseas trip every year, along with existing benefits.
Starting 8 October 2026, Airtel postpaid customers will receive a complimentary international roaming pack with 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS, valid for five days. Customers can activate the roaming pack at a time of their choice during their international trip.

For Airtel postpaid family plans, the free international roaming benefit will be available to every family member covered under the plan.

The company said the new benefit adds to its existing postpaid offerings, which include Fast Lane technology, unlimited data, network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links, entertainment subscriptions and access to exclusive experiences through the Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club.

The new postpaid plans are priced at Rs 499 for an individual connection, Rs 749 for a family of two, Rs 1,049 for three connections, Rs 1,249 and Rs 1,449 for four connections, and Rs 1,799 for five connections.

Existing Airtel customers on both prepaid and older postpaid plans can upgrade to the new plans through the Airtel App or by visiting an Airtel store.

The telecom major reported a 41.63% year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 8,424.29 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 (Q1 FY27). Consolidated revenue from operations increased 18.35% YoY to Rs 58,539.1 crore aided by robust growth across its India and Africa operations.
