Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index registers a drop of 2.33%

Nifty Metal index closed down 2.33% at 12306.7 today. The index has lost 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, National Aluminium Company Ltd dropped 4.73%, Adani Enterprises Ltd fell 3.75% and Hindalco Industries Ltd shed 3.15%. The Nifty Metal index has increased 21.00% over last one year compared to the 9.98% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has slid 1.77% and Nifty Auto index has slid 1.58% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.76% to close at 22603.05 while the SENSEX has slid 0.59% to close at 72638.7 today.
