BSE SME VANS Electroengineerings powers ahead after stellar debut

VANS Electroengineerings traded at Rs 235.40 on the BSE, representing a 99.49% premium over its issue price of Rs 118.
The scrip was listed at Rs 224.20, a premium of 90% to the IPO price. The stock is currently frozen at its upper limit of 5% over its listing price.

The counter hit a high of Rs 235.40 and a low of Rs 224.20. About 10.14 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE.

VANS Electroengineerings' IPO was subscribed 584.44 times. The IPO opened for subscription on 29 September 2026 and closed on 1 October 2026. The price band was Rs 112 to Rs 118 per share.

The IPO comprised a fresh issue of 28.80 lakh equity shares. The promoter and promoter group shareholding in the company declined to 66.73% post-IPO from 90.75% before the issue.

The company has allotted 8.04 lakh equity shares to three anchor investors at Rs 118 per equity share.

The company plans to utilise Rs 25 crore from the net proceeds towards meeting its working capital requirements, with the remaining proceeds earmarked for general corporate purposes.

VANS Electroengineerings is engaged in manufacturing and supplying components used in traction power supply and overhead equipment (OHE) systems for Indian railway electrification infrastructure, metro systems and renewable energy applications. Its principal products include single-pole and double-pole Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs) and Vacuum Interrupters (VIs).

The company's products are used in railway traction applications, including traction substations, sectioning posts and feeding posts. Its products are supplied primarily to Indian Railways and railway contractors. As of 31 August 2026, the company had 33 employees.

Financially, VANS Electroengineerings' revenue from operations increased 68.4% to Rs 22.84 crore in FY2026 from Rs 13.56 crore in FY2025. Profit after tax rose 211.6% to Rs 5.39 crore in FY26 from Rs 1.73 crore posted in FY25.
