US stocks hit record high, indices end with good gains

The US equities hit record high as excitement around artificial intelligence continues to fuel a buying frenzy on Wall Street. A drop in crude oil prices and moderation in long term treasury yields also supported sentiments. The S&P 500, the benchmark stock index, closed up 0.58% on the day. The Nasdaq Composite, which is more heavily weighted towards tech stocks, also hit a record high, finishing up 0.45%. Dow Jones also rose around half a percent as it sustained recovery from a three month low mark.
