States accept Rs 23,600 crore through SGS auction

State governments and the Union Territory of Delhi accepted Rs 23,600 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS) held on 6 October 2026, against the total notified amount of Rs 25,100 crore. The auction covered 13 states and the Union Territory of Delhi, with Delhi and Punjab rejecting certain securities.

Andhra Pradesh accepted Rs 2,000 crore through two re-issues. It accepted Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.46% Andhra Pradesh SGS 2035 at a cut-off yield of 7.9197% and another Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.79% Andhra Pradesh SGS 2042 at 7.9971%.

Delhi did not accept any amount in the re-issue of 7.31% Delhi SGS 2033 or the re-issue of 7.75% Delhi SGS 2041, against a combined notified amount of Rs 1,000 crore.

Goa accepted Rs 200 crore through a fresh 8-year security at a cut-off yield of 7.85%. Himachal Pradesh accepted Rs 600 crore through the re-issue of 7.78% Himachal Pradesh SGS 2044 at a cut-off yield of 8.0061%. Jammu and Kashmir accepted Rs 800 crore through a fresh 25-year security at a yield of 8.01%.

Karnataka accepted Rs 2,000 crore through a fresh 8-year security at a cut-off yield of 7.86%. Madhya Pradesh accepted Rs 3,000 crore through three securities. It raised Rs 1,000 crore through a fresh 10-year security at 7.91%, Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.61% Madhya Pradesh SGS 2044 at 7.9877% and Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.75% Madhya Pradesh SGS 2056 at 7.9794%.

Maharashtra accepted Rs 7,200 crore through four securities. It raised Rs 1,500 crore through the re-issue of 7.09% Maharashtra SGS 2031 at a cut-off yield of 7.6297%, Rs 1,500 crore through the re-issue of 7.63% Maharashtra SGS 2039 at 7.9788%, Rs 2,000 crore through a fresh 17-year security at 8.01% and Rs 2,200 crore through the re-issue of 7.70% Maharashtra SGS 2049 at 7.9921%.

Meghalaya accepted Rs 400 crore through a fresh 13-year security at a cut-off yield of 8.08%. Punjab did not accept any amount through the re-issue of 7.54% Punjab SGS 2031, while it accepted Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.91% Punjab SGS 2041 at a yield of 8.0183%.

Rajasthan accepted Rs 1,900 crore through two re-issues. It raised Rs 1,100 crore through the re-issue of 7.87% Rajasthan SGS 2041 at a cut-off yield of 8.0079% and Rs 800 crore through the re-issue of 7.76% Rajasthan SGS 2048 at 8.0157%.

Telangana accepted Rs 2,500 crore through two fresh securities. It raised Rs 1,000 crore through a 20-year security at a cut-off yield of 8.03% and Rs 1,500 crore through a 26-year security at 8.02%.

West Bengal accepted Rs 2,000 crore through three securities. It raised Rs 500 crore through the re-issue of 7.58% West Bengal SGS 2035 at a cut-off yield of 7.9278%, Rs 1,000 crore through a fresh 15-year security at 7.99% and Rs 500 crore through the re-issue of 7.71% West Bengal SGS 2047 at 8.0671%.

The total notified amount was Rs 25,100 crore, while the total amount accepted stood at Rs 23,600 crore, resulting in a shortfall of Rs 1,500 crore.
