Nifty October futures trade at premium

India VIX slides 8.03% to 13.59.

The Nifty 27 October 2026 futures closed at 22,799.10, a premium of 23 points compared with the Nifty's closing at 22,776.10 in the cash market.

The Nifty 50 index added 220.35 points or 0.98% to 22,776.10.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, dropped 8.03% to 13.59.

HDFC Bank, Reliance and Trent were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.

The October 2026 F&O contracts will expire on 27 October 2026.
