06-Oct-2026 | 14:37
Transrail Lighting rose 4.16% to Rs 482 after the company secured new orders worth Rs 412 crore in its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business.
The orders mainly comprise domestic transmission-line reconductoring projects using high-temperature low-sag (HTLS) conductors manufactured by the company. With the latest wins, Transrail Lighting's order intake for the year has increased to Rs 2,021 crore. The company also has L1 orders totalling Rs 409 crore.

The reconductoring projects are aimed at increasing the current-carrying capacity of existing transmission lines using high-performance carbon-core HTLS conductors. Transrail Lighting manufactures these conductors in-house.

The company said its manufacturing capacities currently stand at 1,84,400 MTPA for towers and 40,800 KMPA for conductors. It said the increased capacities and demand in the domestic and international T&D markets would support its growth.

Randeep Narang, managing director and chief executive officer, said the latest orders would expand the company's domestic presence in transmission-line reconductoring projects and strengthen its position as an integrated T&D player.

Transrail Lighting is a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company with primary focus on power transmission and distribution business.

The company's consolidated net profit rose 1.95% to Rs 107.88 crore while net sales rose 3.99% to Rs 1702.45 crore in Q1 June 2026 over Q1 June 2025.
