Trent rallies after Q2 revenue jumps 23% YoY; Zudio crosses 1,000-store mark

Trent surged 10% to Rs 2,832.50 after the company reported strong revenue growth for the second quarter and the first half of FY27, supported by continued expansion across its retail formats.
The company's standalone revenue from operations, excluding GST, rose 23% year on year to Rs 5,788 crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 4,724 crore in Q2 FY26. Revenue for the first half of FY27 increased 21% to Rs 11,454 crore from Rs 9,505 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier.

Revenue from the sale of merchandise, excluding other operating income, also grew 23% year on year during the quarter and 21% in the first half of FY27.

Trent crossed the 1,000-store milestone for its Zudio format during the quarter. As of 30 September 2026, the company's portfolio stood at 1,342 stores across Westside, Zudio and other lifestyle brands.

During Q2 FY27, Trent opened 10 Westside stores and 17 Zudio stores on a net basis. For the first half of FY27, the company added 11 Westside stores and 36 Zudio stores.

Trent is part of the Tata Group and operates a portfolio of retail concepts. The primary customer propositions of Trent include Westside, one of India's leading chains of fashion retail stores, Zudio, a one stop destination for great fashion at great value and Star, which operates in the competitive food, grocery and daily needs segment.

The company?s standalone net profit jumped 25.84% to Rs 531.77 crore compared with Rs 422.59 crore in Q1 FY26. Revenue from operations grew 18.51% YoY to Rs 5,666.30 crore.
