Nifty October futures trade at premium

India VIX gained 1.47% to 14.67.

The Nifty 27 October 2026 futures closed at 22,623.70 a premium of 67.95 points compared with the Nifty's closing at 22,555.75 in the cash market.

The Nifty 50 index rose 133.80 points or 0.60% to 22,555.75.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 1.47% to 14.67.

HDFC Bank, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.

The October 2026 F&O contracts will expire on 27 October 2026.
