The United Kingdom's private sector activity expanded at a slightly slower pace in September, with the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) Composite Output Index dipping from 52.5 in August to a three-month low of 52, S&P Global revealed in its final report on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Services PMI Business Activity Index also declined in the reported month, slipping from 52.5 in the previous month to 52.1 in August, but coming in above the figure from the preliminary report. Business optimism also eased from August, but still came in higher than the average in the second quarter of 2026.
