Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions slide to one month low

Precious metals speculators cut their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week after recent declines, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 22083 contracts in the data reported through September 29, 2026. This was a weekly slide of 3361 net contracts and pulled up net longs to one-month low.
