Japan's private sector activity slowed in September compared to August, although it kept expanding, S&P Global said in a report released on Monday. The composite Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) came in at 52.3, down 1.2 points from the previous month. The services PMI also fell by 1.2 points to 51.3. New business grew at a softer pace both in services and manufacturing, while manufacturers reported a bigger increase in output than services. Employment improved at the fastest pace since February and optimism was at a seven-month high.
