BSE SME Roopa Screen puts up a vibrant debut

Roopa Screen traded at Rs 122 on the BSE, representing a 90.63% premium over its issue price of Rs 64.
The scrip was listed at Rs 121.60, a premium of 90% to the IPO price. The stock is currently up 0.33% over its listing price.

The counter hit a high of Rs 127.68 and a low of Rs 121.60. About 15.12 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE.

Roopa Screen's IPO was subscribed 350.06 times. The issue comprised an entirely fresh issue of 30 lakh shares. The IPO opened for subscription on 24 September 2026 and closed on 28 September 2026. The price band was fixed at Rs 60-64 per share, with the issue price set at Rs 64.

The total issue comprises 30 lakh shares, including 2.10 lakh shares reserved for the market maker.

Roopa Screen raised Rs 5.32 crore from anchor investors through the allotment of 8.32 lakh shares on 23 September 2026.

The promoter and promoter group holding declined to 63.71% after the IPO from 87.40% before the issue.

The company plans to use Rs 9.90 crore of the IPO proceeds towards capital expenditure for setting up a new manufacturing facility. Another Rs 6 crore has been earmarked for working capital requirements, while Rs 0.02 crore will be used for general corporate purposes and Rs 3.28 crore towards issue expenses.

Incorporated in 2013, Roopa Screen manufactures rotary nickel screens used in rotary screen-printing machines, mainly by textile manufacturers for continuous fabric printing. The cylindrical, perforated metal screens function as stencils that allow printing paste to pass through and create patterns on fabric. The company also trades in nickel cathodes, which are used as a key raw material in the production of nickel screens.

The company's product portfolio includes Delta Screens, Penta Screens, Standard Screens and Nova Screens. In FY2026, Roopa Screen supplied rotary nickel screens to more than 200 customers across India, with Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab and Tamil Nadu accounting for significant portions of its revenues. The company operates exclusively in the B2B segment and caters primarily to textile printing units through its in-house sales team.

Roopa Screen's manufacturing operations are carried out at its facility at Gallops Industrial Park-II in Sanand, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. As of 31 August 2026, the company had 128 permanent employees.

The company's total income increased 12% to Rs 51.32 crore in FY2026 from Rs 45.63 crore in FY2025, while profit after tax rose 38% to Rs 6.48 crore from Rs 4.69 crore. EBITDA increased to Rs 10 crore in FY2026 from Rs 8.13 crore in FY2025. Net worth stood at Rs 16.37 crore and total borrowings at Rs 7.42 crore as of 31 March 2026.
