Economic Buzz: US private payrolls up by 90,000 in September; reports ADP

Private payrolls in the United States increased by 90,000 in September compared to the previous month, according to the ADP National Employment Report published on Wednesday.

According to the report, the education and health services sector observed the biggest increase in new hires for the second consecutive month, rising by 55,000, followed by 22,000 new jobs added in the leisure and hospitality sector, 17,000 new hires in the manufacturing sector, and 15,000 new jobs in the construction sector. On the other hand, the biggest decrease was seen in the financial activities sector, with 16,000 fewer jobs compared to August.

Based on company size, mid-sized enterprises with 250-499 employees observed the biggest growth, with 36,000 new hires, while the smallest growth was recorded in small firms with 20-49 employees, which added 5,000 new jobs.
