Economic Buzz: US personal consumption expenditure index up 3.4% on year

The personal consumption expenditures price index edged up a seasonally adjusted 0.3% for the month, and marked 12-month rise of 3.4%. Excluding food and energy, Core PCE saw a 0.2% climb that put the annual core level at 3%.
