ZFCVINDIA's Hemi Anechoic Chamber secures NABL accreditation

 ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems (CVCS) India has secured accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for its Hemi Anechoic Chamber Testing Laboratory, located within ZF's approximately 200-acre state-of-the-art proving ground near Chennai.

The accreditation makes the facility one of the few NABL-accredited Hemi Anechoic Chambers in India.

The NABL accreditation is based on the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard and serves as a formal recognition of a laboratory's technical competence, testing methodologies and quality management systems. It provides customers with confidence that test results are accurate, reliable, traceable and generated in accordance with globally recognized laboratory practices.

As vehicle technologies evolve through electrification and software-defined architectures, automotive manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on controlling noise and vibration characteristics to improve vehicle quality, customer comfort and regulatory compliance. The accreditation strengthens ZF to support requirements with accurate, repeatable and independently validated acoustic testing capabilities, while further enhancing the comprehensive testing and validation ecosystem available at its proving ground.

ZF's engineering infrastructure in India at Chennai is among a very few NABL accredited Hemi Anechoic Chambers in the country. The recognition also positions ZF CVCS India as one among a select group of organizations capable of providing independently validated acoustic testing services that meet globally accepted laboratory standards, while supporting the growing validation needs of the automotive industry.
