Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index gains 2.74%

Nifty Media index closed up 2.74% at 1583.2 today. The index has gained 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Sun TV Network Ltd added 9.35%, PVR Inox Ltd jumped 4.42% and Saregama India Ltd rose 2.65%. The Nifty Media index has soared 3.00% over last one year compared to the 8.09% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index has dropped 1.84% and Nifty Realty index added 1.62% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.42% to close at 22620.45 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.07% to close at 72480.29 today.
