MPS' AI Management System receives ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification

MPS today announced that its Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) has been certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the world's first international standard for AI management systems.

The certification was awarded by DNV Business Assurance, which is accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA), following a comprehensive multi-stage audit, and confirms that MPS develops, deploys, and manages AI under a governed framework covering risk assessment, human oversight, data governance, transparency, and accountability across the AI lifecycle.

Publishers, universities, and learning companies increasingly want to know who is accountable when AI acts on their content, and whether anyone outside the vendor has checked. ISO/IEC 42001, published by the International Organization for Standardization in December 2023, was written so those questions can be answered with evidence.
